Flying Fish Charters is here to help you experience the stunning waters of Harkers Island. With Captain Andrew at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Amberjack, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Little Tunny (False Albacore), Great Barracuda, Bluefish, Hammerhead Shark, Spanish Mackerel, Blacktip Shark, Redfish, Bonito, and more are in the cards if you cast your line at the right time of year. For these species, you're likely to jig using light tackle. Capt. Andrew also offers fly fishing.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Don't forget to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your vessel for the day is a 23' Jones Brothers Cape Fisherman LTE center console that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.
You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't forget to bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board.
Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Flying Fish Charters!
