How to find the best Havelock vacation property experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Summer time is high season in Emerald Isle. Book your rental in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- In the Havelock area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitor guides which will include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by choosing your a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Classic Ocean Front Cottage - 1 Level and close to town! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the host before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's an individual Havelock beach you crave, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Tips to have a great stay:
- Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Upon arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
