How to get the best Havelock rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is a great way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- In the Havelock area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Ocean Front Cottage with Mother-in-law Suite has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
- If there's a certain Havelock beach you love, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
- Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. message the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to propel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
