Strategies to get the perfect Havelock rental experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Atlantic Beach. To get the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Havelock area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Many management companies supply Havelock area visitor guides which will include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Finding the perfect vacation rental:

  • Select vacation week and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Poolside House w\/ Ocean Views, Steps from Beach & Restaurants has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you reserve the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • If there's a specific Havelock destination you crave, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.

Tips for a wonderful stay:

  • Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain that no damages are linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. text the host immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
