Tips and Tricks to get the best Atlantic Beach vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Summer is high season in Atlantic Beach. To find the best value, shift your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many property management companies supply Havelock area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and choose the perfect Havelock rental home:
- Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Seas the Day in Atlantic Beach, NC has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property owner before booking your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
During your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Upon check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a excellent stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
