Tips to get the perfect Beaufort vacation home experience:
Getting the most from your spending budget:
- Summertime is high season in the Havelock area. Book your Havelock vacation home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area travel guides which include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing the best vacation rental in the Havelock area:
- Choose your vacation week and budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Tidal Treasure 10% of for a 7-night booking! Bring your boat! Pet friendly! has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the host before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
During your stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of issues.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
