How to book the best Atlantic Beach rental home experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Atlantic Beach rental home:
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To book the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Havelock restaurants and activities.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many property management companies supply Havelock area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Filter your search:
- To start, have your group commit to vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. The Sandy Turtle: Spacious 3-Story 3BR 3BA Condo steps from the Beach! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the host before you book your home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- Make a record of any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if there is a dispute.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your life at home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to stimulate future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
