Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Atlantic Beach vacation property experience:
Finding the best value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Atlantic Beach. Reserve your vacation in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Havelock area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.
How to choose and book the perfect Havelock rental:
- Start by having your family decide on trip dates and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. 2 Br 2 Bath Condo Oceanfront Resort 2 Pools & Water Slide has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible online. Otherwise, contact the host before you book the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
- Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
More considerations:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. Contact the host immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a great stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
