How to find the best Beaufort vacation rental experience:
Finding your best deal:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Booking your Havelock vacation home in Fall or Spring is a good way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Owners sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Havelock area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
How to select the perfect rental home in Beaufort:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. A Block from the Dock in Historic Beaufort has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the host before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's a certain Havelock beach you long to visit, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
Tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas during check in. message the host immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
