Atlantic Beach just made #16 in the list of Top 100 Beaches in the United States, beating out even beaches in Hawaii! Truly a hidden gem, as this part of the island doesn't have public access, beyond a few cars, so it's just folks staying right there. https://www.wect.com/2023/06/21/100-best-beach-towns-us/
Full kitchen, enormous 36' x 12' patio with charcoal grille and enormous sectional, multiple rocking chairs, and porch swing, dining area, living room, full bathroom, queen bedroom, dual twin bedroom, two rollaway beds, laundry in unit, beach outdoor shower. Home away from home!
The entire unit of the duplex will be yours. This property is smoke-complimentary, meaning you must leave the property completely if you wish to smoke. This is a pet-complimentary property.
My favorite spot in the home is the massive 36' x 12' patio with the porch swing, and humongous sectional seating area. I adore that I can hear the waves crash from here.

Havelock vacation rental booking tips and tricks:
When to book & When to go:
- In the Havelock area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Havelock area. Book your Havelock rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies supply Havelock area visitors guides which will include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting the perfect vacation rental in the Havelock area:
- Select vacation week and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Barefoot Beach South: Fantastic location, steps from sand with views of the bay! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. Otherwise, call the host before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
- If there's a specific Havelock beach you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
Tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of issues.
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- Note any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
