Welcome to Pirate's Hideaway! Located in beautiful Pine Knoll Shores, Beachwalk is right across the street from the Aquarium and the Roosevelt Natural area. Pirate's Hideaway is located on the first floor (no stairs to climb) making it a breeze to unload and easier to access for our more seasoned guests. As you enter, you will be drawn to the gorgeous vistas of the Atlantic Ocean. The outdoor space spans the entire width of the unit, accepting access from the living room as well as a private entrance to the master bedroom. You will appreciate oceanfront vistas and hear the waves crashing on the shore from your cavernous private deck or from the beach inspired open-concept living room and kitchen. From the deck take a very short walk (30 paces Matey!) along a wooden walkway to the beach. The pool is located next to the unit so you can watch your kids play and call them in for dinner without ever leaving your back deck.

After you gather for drinks at the gazebo watching the sunset, relax in the oceanfront king master suite complete with it's own adjoining bathroom (modernized 2022) or in one of the other two bedrooms both with their own bathrooms (both newly tiled and one with a new tub 2021). The condo also features a sleeper couch ensuring everybody has sufficient space to spread out and accommodates 8 people comfortably.

The unit is entirely outfitted to ensure your comfort and reduce your need to over pack. Items include traditional coffee maker, Keurig, blender, 4 slice toaster, cookware, etc. There is also a bar area with drink refrigerator, a full size washer and dryer and deck furnishings. Linens are supplied with your rental (sheets and towels) as well as a pack-n-play, booster seat, games and puzzles. We also have a few beach chairs, umbrella, and floats for your convenience. So all you have to bring is your bathing suit!

• June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Booking in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
• Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
• Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
• Property management companies typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
• Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
• Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
