Beaufort rental property booking tips and tricks:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Havelock area. To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the Havelock area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Some hosts offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many property management companies supply Havelock area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting the best rental:
- Select your vacation dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Calm Tide -On Ann Street, walking distance to Beaufort waterfront. has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the host's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- At Check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
