Our top Atlantic Beach vacation rental home tips and tricks:
Get the best value:
- In the Havelock area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Reserve your Havelock vacation in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many rental management companies supply Havelock area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Finding the perfect vacation home:
- Choose dates and budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration you need. Chateau Relaxo- Remodeled Pool View Condo with Direct Beach and Sound Access has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More tips for your stay:
- Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make sure that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the property manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
