Finding the best Beaufort rental home experience:
Get the best rental home value:
- Reserve your rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, management companies supply Havelock area visitors guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Begin by selecting your vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Sound Front Home with Dock in Downtown Beaufort, NC (Creek Watch) has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available online. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before booking the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what is best for your family.
- If there's a particular Havelock attraction you long to visit, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
Additional considerations:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- At Check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
