Tricks and tips to get the very best vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • To get the most suitable rental for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Havelock restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Havelock area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose your vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Crystal Coast Condo - Full Amenities! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the host before you book the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • If there's an individual Havelock beach you crave, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • Record any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
