Tips to get the perfect Havelock rental home experience:
Getting the most from your spending budget:
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are high season in Atlantic Beach. Book your rental property in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitors guides which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and picking a perfectrental:
- Choose a group leader, choose your dates, and choose a max budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Gorgeous Townhome w\/Ocean Views has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Additional considerations:
- Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Note any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if there is a dispute.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to stimulate new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
