Strategies for getting the best Beaufort vacation property experience:
Get the best rental home value:
- In the Havelock area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To find the best value, change your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Filter your search:
- Start by having your family select dates and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Sound Front Townhouse-South Breeze has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property manager before booking the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
- If there's an individual Havelock attraction you crave, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Tips for your stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- During arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
