This old fisherman’s bungalow evokes a sense of rustic appeal and coastal nostalgia. The salty air carries the scent of the sea, and the sound of waves gently crashing close by adds to the calming ambiance.

Inside, you will find simple wooden furnishings and nautical decor. The kitchen does offer the modern appliances and plenty of room to prepare the catch of the day! The 3 bedrooms offer a king bed, full bed and two twin. In the sunroom, there is a pullout couch with a queen sleeper for those additional guests that you just could not leave behind.

Outside, a wooden deck provides a ideal spot for enjoying sunsets over the water, with a sandy beach just a short walk away. Set you deck chair so you can view the ocean on one side of the home and the Intercoastal Sound on the other. The salt air will take all your worries away.

Tips to get the perfect Emerald Isle rental experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in the Havelock area. To find the best value, consider changing your family's Havelock vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines have discounts for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Choosing the perfect vacation rental in Emerald Isle:

  • Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Just a Fluke - Ocean cottage 2nd row has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what is right for your group.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Havelock destination you simply love, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. text the host right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
