NEW ON THE RENTAL MARKET!!! This ocean bungalow is a nostalgic and inviting space, ideal for relaxation and appreciating the coastal lifestyle. This old fisherman’s bungalow evokes a sense of rustic appeal and coastal nostalgia. The salty air carries the scent of the sea, and the sound of waves gently crashing close by adds to the calming ambiance.

Inside, you will find simple wooden furnishings and nautical decor. The kitchen does offer the modern appliances and plenty of room to prepare the catch of the day! The 3 bedrooms offer a king bed, full bed and two twin. In the sunroom, there is a pullout couch with a queen sleeper for those additional guests that you just could not leave behind.

Outside, a wooden deck provides a ideal spot for enjoying sunsets over the water, with a sandy beach just a short walk away. Set you deck chair so you can view the ocean on one side of the home and the Intercoastal Sound on the other. The salt air will take all your worries away.

It’s a ideal getaway for those seeking tranquility and connection to nature, embodying a life closely tied to the rhythms of the ocean.

Tips for getting the best vacation rental experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Havelock area. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area travel guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, picking, and booking the rightrental home:

  • Select a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Just a Fluke - Ocean cottage 2nd row has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property manager before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Tips for your stay:

  • Add the owner's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • At Check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
