Tips to get the optimal Havelock vacation home experience:

Get the most from your rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Booking your Havelock vacation home in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Havelock area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Havelock visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

Planning and picking your Havelock rental:

  • Select your vacation dates and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. MULTI-LEVEL OCEANFRONT CONDO NEAR FORT MACON STATE PARK has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property management company before you book the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what is suitable for your vacation.
  • If there's a certain Havelock attraction you are enamored with, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.

Advice for your stay:

  • Add the host's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the property manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
