Welcome to Shore is Fun! This refreshed home is ready to host your next vacation! Technically, it’s a duplex with two kitchens and two living areas—but it’s rented as a single-family home, making it ideal for two (or more) families to vacation together. Located just 300 feet from the beach and only one row back from the Bogue Sound, you'll savor painless access to both!

Inside, an adjoining door accepts you to appreciate time together and still have a bit of privacy. With a complete remodel in 2023, the updates include new floors, fresh paint, modern cabinets, updated appliances, a new front deck, and more!

Bring along your well-behaved pup to enjoy the rare, fenced backyard! This 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home (2BR/1BA on each side) is packed with amenities, like Intelligent TVs in every bedroom and living area (just remember to log out of your apps!). The kitchens are entirely outfitted with enormous and modest appliances—think air fryer, crock pot, coffee maker, blender, and more.

Unwind on the new front deck with rocking chairs for sunsets, or kick back on the ocean-view deck’s sectional couch (complete with a gate for added safety). The fenced backyard features a gas grille and a shaded porch hangout area, plus two enclosed hot/cold outdoor showers to rinse off after beach days.

This home is designed for creating memorable family moments! Smoking is not allowed. Typical stays run Sunday to Sunday, but flexible dates are available depending on the season. Linens (linens, bath towels, and kitchen towels) are included with beds made. Animals are welcome with a $250 non-returnable pet fee per dog (up to two dogs).

About the Area

Located in Emerald Isle, this vacation home is near the beach. Flatwaters Paddling and Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf and Raceway are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Beach Wheels Bike Rental and Emerald Plantation. Emerald Isle Adventures and The Sweet Spot are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Havelock area, The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses.   • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective.
