Welcome to Shore is Fun! This refreshed home is ready to host your next vacation! Technically, it’s a duplex with two kitchens and two living areas—but it’s rented as a single-family home, making it ideal for two (or more) families to vacation together. Located just 300 feet from the beach and only one row back from the Bogue Sound, you'll appreciate simple access to both!
Inside, an adjoining door accepts you to savor time together and still have a bit of privacy. With a complete remodel in 2023, the updates include new floors, fresh paint, modern cabinets, updated appliances, a new front deck, and more!
Bring along your well-behaved pup to enjoy the rare, fenced backyard! This 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home (2BR/1BA on each side) is packed with amenities, like Intelligent TVs in every bedroom and living area (just remember to log out of your apps!). The kitchens are entirely outfitted with enormous and modest appliances—think air fryer, crock pot, coffee maker, blender, and more.
Unwind on the new front deck with rocking chairs for sunsets, or kick back on the ocean-view deck’s sectional couch (complete with a gate for added safety). The fenced backyard features a gas grille and a shaded porch hangout area, plus two enclosed hot/cold outdoor showers to rinse off after beach days.
This home is designed for creating memorable family moments! Smoking is not allowed. Typical stays run Sunday to Sunday, but flexible dates are available depending on the season. Linens (linens, bath towels, and kitchen towels) are included with beds made. Animals are welcome with a $250 non-returnable pet fee per dog (up to two dogs).

Strategies to get the best Emerald Isle vacation property experience:
Getting the most from your spending budget:
- June, July, and August are high season in Emerald Isle. To get the best value, shift your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
- In the Havelock area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Finding the perfect rental in the Havelock area:
- Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Dogs OK! Steps away from the beach ~ 4BR! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available online. If not, email the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
During your stay:
- Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Upon arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your life at home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
