Tips to get the perfect Atlantic Beach rental home experience:
When to reserve a Havelock rental & When to go:
- To get the best value, try shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Havelock area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, property management companies supply Havelock area visitor guide magazines which include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to pick the perfect rental home in Atlantic Beach:
- First and foremost, have your family commit to vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Ocean Front Ocean View, With Private Heated Pool & Hot Tub has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
During your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
- To make sure damages aren't attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the host immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
