About the Area

Located in Atlantic Beach, this condo is on the beach. North Carolina Maritime Museum and Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and Heritage Center are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Triple S Marina and Anchorage Marina. North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf and Raceway are also worth visiting. With jet skiing, scuba diving, and snorkeling nearby, you'll find plenty of adventures in the water.

When to go & When to book:

  • Booking your vacation rental in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.

  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
