Rejuvenate yourself at the premier oceanfront bungalow in Atlantic Beach. Your stay at Sea Haven promises to add many incredible memories to your vacation scrapbook and keep you wanting to come back year after year!
Sea Haven is a cavernous, seven-bedroom, five-bathroom, two-kitchen oceanfront beach home that is located in striking Atlantic Beach. The home lies in a peaceful, calming neighborhood, yet still sits within walking distance of the Atlantic Beach Boardwalk and a fishing pier with a wide variety of activities and eateries available. The beach in front of the home is relatively peaceful and secluded, and you will often find yourself alone with your thoughts in the early morning. This broad beach escape is 3 stories high and an AMAZING value for such a big place!
The main home is on the 2nd and 3rd floors. It is entered through stairs on the parking side, or via the deck stairs on the ocean side. The 2nd floor has a entryway, full kitchen, dining area, living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a washer/dryer. The 3rd floor has 3 bedrooms and 1 bath, with one of the bedrooms offering a modest breakfast table overlooking the ocean.
The 1st-floor unit is entirely self-sufficient, with a separate entrance, another full kitchen, two more bedrooms, 2 baths, and a washer/dryer. This floor is wheelchair accessible through the ground-level french doors next to the parking area. It’s a great unit for people who can’t climb stairs, or want a separate unit away from the traffic in the main home. This floor has a “game room” with a professional-grade air hockey table and TV.
Bedrooms: there are enough beds to sleep 18 people in 7 separate rooms. The bed layout is as follows:
1st Floor: Bedroom #1 has a queen bed and a private bathroom. Bedroom #2 has a Double bed and a private bathroom. There is a den/game room on this level with a TV as well as an additional dining area, an additional full kitchen, and another washer/dryer. This floor has a private entrance from outside, so it can be used as a completely independent apartment.
2nd Floor: Bedroom #3 is oceanfront, and has a king bed, a TV, and access to a shared bathroom. Bedroom #4 has a queen bed, a TV, and access to a shared bathroom. This floor has the kitchen, living room, TV, a DVD player, and deck access. You will also find the main dining area and the main entirely-equipped kitchen. Off of the kitchen, you will find a convenient full bathroom and washer dryer.
3rd Floor: Bedroom #5 has two queen beds, a TV, and access to a shared bathroom. Bedroom #6 is oceanfront and has two queen beds, a TV, and access to a shared bathroom. Bedrooms #5 and 6 are connected through an oceanfront additional room with its own TV and two additional Twin Beds!
Total linens includes 1 king, 6 queens, 1 Double, and 2 twins.
Bathrooms: The main bathroom on the 2nd floor lies off the entryway. A new LG washer and dryer are located here. The other bathroom on this floor is located between the bedrooms for convenient access (Jack & Jill style, with the bathrooms, entered through the bedrooms). The 3rd-floor bathroom is also located between the bedrooms. On the 1st floor, each bedroom has its own adjoining bathroom.
Main Floor Shower/Faucet Instructions: Gently, pull the lower of the two handles towards you to turn the shower on. Then turn the handle to the left or right to adjust the temperature.
All floors have independent thermostats and central heat/air units to optimize comfort. Flat-screen TVs are installed as well.
The deck is exceptionally huge at over 500 square feet and has an attached outdoor shower shed (groundwater temperature). There is also a covered 400 square foot porch with two enormous picnic tables, which are great for inclement weather or for just getting out of the sun. The view is unmatched...Sea Haven faces due south on an east-west beach, so during certain times of the year, you can savor both a sunrise and a sunset from the same location (this is one of the few beach locations in the US where this occurs). From the steps of the deck, the waves at high tide are only about 15 yards away.
Linens and towels supplied with beds made (weekly stays only).
Rents weekly from Saturday to Saturday. Nightly units allowed with a 3-nighttime minimum (last min. and off-season only).
No Smoking. Pet Friendly (up to 2 dogs stay complimentary).
Fireplace for decoration only and is not to be used (chimney is capped to protect the home from hurricane damage). To prevent salt air corrosion, windows are to remain closed and locked at all times. Windows found open will result in a $250 service charge.
Wifi Speed: download 117Mbps, Upload 11.7Mbps, Streaming max resolution 2160p, buffering 0%.

Tricks and tips to get the perfect rental home experience:
How to get the best value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Atlantic Beach. Booking your vacation home in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Havelock area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Choosing the best rental in the Havelock area:
- Start by selecting a vacation week and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Sea Haven, Oceanfront House in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is usually available online. Otherwise, email the property management company before you book the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Is your family looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
Additional considerations:
- Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if damages are assessed.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
