Great Vacation
"The home was ideal! The neighborhood was peaceful, the home had everything we needed and the dock was the ideal addition. My husband and I spent pretty much every morning and evening out there appreciating the sunrise and sunset. We will definitely be renting again!"

Ideal
"I remember the first time I saw the listing among the hundreds and the marine blue color theme of the different rooms and the cavernous living room overlooking the serene river outside caught my eye. We arrived and the real world was even more gorgeous."

Wonderful place to stay
"This home was exactly as posted on Vacation Rental By Owner. View was magnificent. House had everything we needed (except a pizza cutter) Hosts were very helpful and responsive. The only downer was that there was no swimming off the dock but that was a modest inconvenience. We had a great time."

Fabulous property in the peaceful neighborhood
"This property was ideal for my family and parents. We were able to savor the pier and go kayaking and fishing, as well as bicycle and walk around the neighborhood. Close proximity to Beaufort and Morehead City made it simple to do all the activities we appreciate. We'll definitely be back!"

Ideal place for us!
"We had a great time. The sunrise view is handsome. Ideal Property to have older parents to join us, the one story and ability to get from the home to pier was key. I appreciated that we could come and go during the week rather than just Sat/Sun. Communication with the realtor/owner was superb and they were very accommodating."

Amazing Home! Immaculate, impressive, and welcoming
"We had the best family vacation at this home. It is immaculate! The kitchen is supplied with EVERYTHING you need. There are indoor and outdoor games for kids and adults. We enjoyed fishing off the dock in the evening. The beach access is only a few mins. away and the outdoor shower was fabulous upon return. we enjoyed watching the most charming sunrises in the morning with our coffee and ended the nights with a bicycle ride during sunset on the beach bicycles they included. We ate at a few great eateries close by and enjoyed downtown Beaufort one afternoon. We can't wait to book another vacation at this excellent property!"

"Bliss is Right!"
"If I could have written a review upon arrival I would have. This is the kind of property that is nothing but top of the line. Attractively decorated home. A "Great" great room. Cavernous kitchen that had everything we normally have to bring from home. Cozy beds and plenty of storage space. Wonderful view of the north river and Harker's Island. And did I mention peaceful? Wow. We are fishing and did our fair share, yet this spot is just a little too shallow at both tides to really get anything worth while yet the solid constructed pier does offer a great cleaning station which did handle its fair share of fish cleaned during our stay. hands down, we will look to rent again next year or sooner. You won't be disappointed with this property. Barry"

This was THE BEST hideaway for our family & friends!
"This home was very CLEAN, loaded with fun things to do, not to mention it's elegantly decorated! We had our 1 and 4 year old with us, along with another couple and its place fit us ideally! They had a high chair and toys for the kids which was a great surprise for us! We went fishing off the dock and ate every meal on the back deck. Fishing, watching the sun come up w/ a cup of coffee and playing games in the back yard with my kids was my favorite part of this trip even though the main reason we came was for the Beaufort Music Festival. The grocery store was right down the road and downtown Beaufort was a super short drive. Renee was fast to respond and answered all my random questions :) Definitely recommend this home and we look forward to coming back soon!"

The home was very well supplied for cooking and just getting comfortable on the couch. We fished on the pier which was convenient with a beautiful view of the channel. We can't wait to go back!"

The home was immaculate and was outfitted with all the necessities. The decor was well thought out and the beds were very cozy. Beaufort was very close to drive to which was very convenient. The Owners were super responsive and painless to communicate with. We highly recommend this property!"

Boat details:
-Please inquire about bringing your BOAT! Sizable driveway has plenty of space for a boat trailer and car. Tying your boat up to the dock is an option, however boat launch is recommended elsewhere. North River is shallow even at high tide. Flat bottom, Skiff, or "shallow" v bottom vessels are most suitable for this dock. Boat lift pictured is currently not available for use. Ask host prior to booking if you are interested in storing your boat at property- whether desired driveway or dock use. Details must be included to avoid caution or possible damage. We must ensure that proper information is related, and terms are agreed upon prior to stay

Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Havelock vacation property experience:
When to go & When to book:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To find the best value, try changing your family's Havelock trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Havelock area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select dates and spending budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. SOUNDFRONT HOME IN BEAUFORT – 3BD\/2BA WITH PRIVATE DOCK has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your vacation.
- If there's a specific Havelock beach you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or might be applied to your invoice.
Know before you go:
- Add the host's contact info to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Document any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a terrific time? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
