Finding the best Atlantic Beach rental experience:
When to visit Atlantic Beach & When to book:
- In the Havelock area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- To get the best value, try changing your family's Havelock vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Havelock area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides have money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.
Choosing and booking the right Havelock rental home:
- Choose vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Studio Condo at Atlantic Beach waiting for you to come and play :) has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available online. If not, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
- If there's a specific Havelock destination you are crazy about, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
Considerations for your stay:
- Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of concerns.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Upon check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be respectful. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
