Strategies to get the perfect Emerald Isle vacation rental experience:
When to go & When to book:
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer months are high season in the Havelock area. To find the best rental within your budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Havelock restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local Havelock visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
How to choose the best vacation home in the Havelock area:
- Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. The Pinnacle - OCEANFRONT Home. Amazing Views, Pool, Hot Tub, 2 Kitchens,\nDeck has 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you book the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Havelock destination you long to visit, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas during check in. Contact the host immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your life at home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a great stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
