Finding the best rental home experience:
Sticking to a rental budget:
- To get the largest vacation home for your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Choosing the perfect rental in the Havelock area:
- Begin by choosing your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Ann St Cottage In The Heart Of Historic Beaufort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property management company before booking the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what is suitable for your family.

- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
Tips to have a wonderful stay:
- Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- At Check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to compel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective.
