Tricks and tips to get the best rental experience:
When to reserve a Havelock rental & When to go:
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Summertime is high season in the Havelock area. To find the best value, try shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Havelock visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Filter your rental search:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. \"Jackpot\" ~ 1304 Queens Court ~ 2Bd\/2Ba Top Floor Oceanfront Condo ~ Elevator has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before booking the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what is best for your vacation.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
More considerations for your visit:
- Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Upon check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a terrific stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
