Havelock vacation rental tips:

When to reserve a Havelock rental home & When to go:

  • In the Havelock area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • To get the best value, try changing your family's Havelock vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Havelock visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

How to pick the best rental home:

  • Choose a group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Beach life in Atlantic Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • To make certain that no damages are linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. text the host immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to propel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
