"The Emerald Cottage" is a brand-new, ground-floor apartment available for rent that has 2 bedrooms and one full bath on the ground level of our beach home, completely separate, private and accessible via the side and back of the home. A true owner's apartment, the unit has a master bedroom with private sunroom (queen bed) and a private patio. There is also a second bedroom in the unit with bunk beds, a full and a twin on top. All beds have new Tuft & Needle beds.

THE EMERALD COTTAGE has a full, brand-new kitchen with an upgraded LG induction oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator, all new in 2024. It also has its own separate washer and dryer. Outside there is a full back yard.

The bungalow is a super short walk to all Emerald Isle has to offer (eateries, bars and playground) and less than 5 mins. to the gorgeous beach and ocean!

What we LOVE about the property:
-Located on the oceanside, a short walk to the beach with multiple access paths (including handicap/stroller friendly)
-private groundfloor back patio
-the home has a delightfully landscaped yard and a modest backyard, with a BBQ available for use
-Located a few homes away from the Emerald Isle bicycle path (where you can bicycle up and down the island!)
-The Emerald Isle Community Center is across the street with a gym that is available for a modest fee to the public (has weights, workout equipment and also workout classes!)
-Blue Heron public park is across the street (has a giant playground and a fun sand box with play homes for the kids)
-pickle ball courts and tennis courts are across the street
-short walk to tons of striking eateries
-walk to the E-Club, Surf's Up or Kathryn's Bistro & Martini Bar for a fun nighttime out
-We have a pack-n-play crib, high chair, infant bath tub and booster seat available for use.

About the Area

Emerald Isle is home to this vacation home. Emerald Plantation and Salty Air Open Market are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Croatan National Forest and Pocosin Wilderness. Emerald Isle Adventures and The Sweet Spot are also worth visiting.

Cost saving strategies:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Havelock area. To get the largest rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance.
