Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To find the best vacation home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Havelock restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
