Tips and Tricks to get the optimal rental home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Atlantic Beach. To get the best vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain deals for nearby tours and attractions.
Choosing and booking the best Havelock rental home:
- Select a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Birds'Nest -oceanfront condo in Dunescape Villas with beautiful views has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a certain Havelock destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- At Check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
