Our top Atlantic Beach rental booking tips and tricks:
When to book a Havelock rental home & When to go:
- Summer is high season in the Havelock area. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Havelock visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to choose and book your Havelock rental:
- First, have your group agree to trip dates and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Liquid Sunshine, direct poolside easy beach access has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine which bed configuration is right for your family.
- If there's a certain Havelock attraction you long to visit, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or could be applied to your contract.
More considerations for your visit:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- To make sure no damages are linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your life at home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
