Getting the best rental home experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Havelock rental home:
- Summer is high season in Atlantic Beach. To find the best value, try shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- In the Havelock area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Havelock visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Liquid Sunshine, direct poolside easy beach access has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your family.
- Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Speak to the rental manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
