Strategies to get the perfect Havelock vacation rental experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Summer months are high season in Emerald Isle. To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Havelock vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Havelock area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain money saving offers on local tours and attractions.
How to choose the perfect vacation rental:
- Select a group leader, select your dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Book your Beach Get-a-Way at family friendly Beach Loving! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your family.
- If there's a certain Havelock attraction you love, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- During check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a wonderful time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
