How to get the best Beaufort rental experience:
Get the best value:
- To get the most suitable rental within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- In the Havelock area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Havelock visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to choose the best vacation rental in Beaufort:
- Select your dates and maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. East Lodge - Group Friendly!! Free Wifi and Cable TV included has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the host before reserving the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
Additional considerations:
- Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
