Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Beaufort vacation property experience:
Getting the best value:
- Summertime is high season in the Havelock area. Book your rental in the Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- In the Havelock area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Havelock visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have coupons for local tours and attractions.
Filter your rental search:
- Begin by choosing a vacation week and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. East Lodge - Group Friendly!! Free Wifi and Cable TV included has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
- If there's an individual Havelock destination you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- Note any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if damages are assessed.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to compel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
