How to find the best Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:
Sticking to a rental home budget:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the largest vacation home for your budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Havelock restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Havelock area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.
Selecting the perfect rental in Atlantic Beach:
- First, have your group choose date ranges and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Great Get away, 3rd Floor, Ocean View Beach Condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rentals search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you book the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or applied to your invoice.
- If there's a particular Havelock attraction you are enamored with, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- During check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
