Havelock rental booking tips:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- Book your Havelock vacation home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, management companies supply Havelock area visitors guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and choosing the right Havelock rental:
- Select your vacation dates and max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Fun in the sun only steps from your door! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- During check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many problems.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
