Atlantic Beach rental booking tips and tricks:
Cost saving strategies:
- To get the best vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Havelock attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- In the Havelock area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitor guides that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. High Cotton Cottage has 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before booking your home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what bed configuration is best for your group.
- If there's a particular Havelock destination you crave, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute arises.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
