Atlantic Beach rental property booking tips:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- In the Havelock area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Summer months are high season in the Havelock area. To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies supply Havelock area visitor guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the best rental home in the Havelock area:
- Select your vacation week and max budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Newly renovated beach home with decks, ocean views, and outdoor shower has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property manager before reserving the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation group.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or could be applied to your agreement.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
More tips for your visit:
- Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas during check in. text the rental manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
