The property is private and has 24/7 security during the peak season. Guests are required to display a visitor parking pass at all times.
Once you come through the gate, fork to the left towards buildings A-E. You'll first pass E building on your right, then D on your left after you round the curve. Park between buildings D and C and access the stairwell from what appears to be the back of the building.

How to get the best Havelock vacation rental experience:
Sticking to a spending budget:
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is a good way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area travel guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning, picking, and booking the right Havelock vacation home:
- To start, have your group decide on a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Newly renovated condo with beautiful ocean views!\n has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
- Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
More considerations:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Record any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be respectful. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would at home.
- On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a great time? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
