It even improves your physical and mental health —the salt air, the sunshine, the tranquility of the waves and pastimes like watching sandpipers scurry make for a relaxing mood and peace of mind. At this oceanfront condo, the coastal lifestyle and all of the joy and activities that come with it are right at your doorstep.
This unit is as inviting as the ocean breeze, with a fresh, comfortable, and beachy vibe. The open living space leads to the balcony with ocean vistas — where you are likely to spend tons of time! Sip coffee at first light, watch the waves in the distance, and come back in the evening just in time for the sun to dip down over the horizon in a fiery glow. With a dining room, bright white and roomy kitchen and two bedrooms, this ideal locale is the ideal hideaway.
Southwinds is within walking distance of Fort Macon State Park with its myriad of nature trails and pristine beaches. The Atlantic Beach Circle is also close by and has so many cute stores and fine dining for friends in town or a fun nighttime out. If you prefer to stay close to home, swim in one of two pools or marvel at the glory of the surf and the sunset with appreciated ones. You will never tire of your vistas — and access— to the Crystal Coast!!

WHAT IS PROVIDED:
Spectrum Rental Properties will provide sheets and bath towels. Beach towels and equipment is not supplied. If you would like information on beach equipment units, we are more than happy to provide you with a list. Properties will be included with a starter kit in each full bathroom and kitchen. Each kitchen starter kit will contain a modest bottle of dish soap, two dishwasher pods, sponge, and two fragrance complimentary laundry pods. The kitchen will also have one additional trash bag
Each bathroom starter kit will contain a travel size shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, makeup wipe, and body bar.
Spectrum Rental Properties is unfortunately not able to provide additional boxes/bags. This is a starter kit; anything additional will be guests responsibility to provide.

-There are two EV charging stations for guest use at Southwinds located at the back of building E.

Located in Atlantic Beach, this condo is on the beach. North Carolina Maritime Museum and Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and Heritage Center are cultural highlights, and travelers looking to shop may want to visit Coral Bay Shopping Center and Morehead Plaza Shopping Center. North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf and Raceway are also worth visiting.

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. Book your Havelock vacation home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Many rental management companies supply Havelock area travel guide magazines which include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!

  • Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a great time? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
