How to book the best Atlantic Beach vacation home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Summer is high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the largest rental within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Havelock restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Havelock visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain deals for local accommodations and attractions.
Make a plan and pick the rightrental:
- Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Oceanside Condo with family friendly amenities! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the host before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish which bed configuration is right for your group.
- Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges applied to your agreement.
Tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- During check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
