Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Atlantic Beach rental home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Havelock area. Booking your Havelock vacation rental in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitor guides that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning, picking, and booking the perfectvacation home:
- Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Roberson Cottage, Oceanfront House in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. If not, call the host before you book the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what is suitable for your trip.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a specific Havelock destination you simply love, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
More considerations for your visit:
- Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many problems.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
- Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to compel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
