How to get the best Havelock vacation rental experience:
Getting the best rental home value:
- Summer time is high season in the Havelock area. To book the best rental home within budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Havelock attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose and book a perfectrental:

- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- To make certain damages are not linked to your stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. message the host right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of problems.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to stimulate new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
