Our Shell Cottage features both a queen size bed in the Bedroom, and a queen size couch-bed in the Living Room, the bungalow sleeps a max. of 3 persons. This bungalow has an refreshed kitchen with a dishwasher and propane grille. There is one private parking space supplied with the Shell Cottage, and one “well behaved” dog can accompany you with the payment of a $60 non-returnable pet fee .

There is one private parking space included with the Shell Cottage, as well as two cruiser bicycles and helmets, a four-burner propane grille, grilling accessories, a patio with two chairs, a cooler, and two beach chairs and umbrella ! All linens are supplied.
Located in historic downtown Beaufort. Across the street from the county courthouse - where there is a weekend Farmers Market.

2 block walk to the historic waterfront and eateries, wine bar, brewery and stores. Catch the water ferry to the outer banks from this area. Leave your car parked, and walk or bicycle everywhere in historic Beaufort!.
If you want to drive to the Beach, its only a 15 min drive to public beaches - of which there are numerous.

About the Area

Beaufort is home to this vacation home. Morehead City Yacht Basin and Town Creek Marina are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Rachel Carson Reserve and Hoop Pole Creek Nature Trail. North Carolina Maritime Museum and Mount Maker Charters are also worth visiting.

  • To find the best value, try changing your family's Havelock vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Havelock area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance.   • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
