Sound of Sea is an oceanfront condominium complex with 2 outside swimming pools, tennis courts and a clubhouse, and private oceanfront walkways. Conveniently located within walking distance to eateries, stores, theme parks and the fishing pier! Sound of the Sea is a gated community.

Sound of the Sea 109 East is an angled Oceanfront Condo on three living levels. It has 4 Bedrooms and 2 1/2 Baths. Bedroom #1 has a King Bed. Bedroom #2 has a Queen Bed. Bedroom #3 has a Queen Bed. Bedroom #4 has 2 Twin Bunk Sets. 5 Color Cable TVs, 4 DVD Players, Stereo with CD Player, High-Speed Wireless Internet, Answering Machine. 2 Refrigerators, Microwave, Dishwasher, Washer/Dryer. Central Heat/Air. Covered and Uncovered Decks with Furnishings.

Reminder: The modest complex pool will reopen in the spring for guest use!

Please Note: Management Company reserves the right to deny stays less than 7 nights, if the arrival date is more than 30 days out from the booking date. Stays less than 7 nights, with an arrival date between mid-April to mid-October, are stringently prohibited unless approved by management.

About the Area

Located in Emerald Isle, this condo is by the ocean. Salty Pirate Water Park and Emerald Forest Golf are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Emerald Plantation and Salty Air Open Market. Emerald Isle Adventures and The Sweet Spot are also worth visiting.

When to go & When to reserve a Emerald Isle rental home:

  • Booking your Havelock vacation home in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Havelock area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have discounts for local tours and attractions.

  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
