How to get the best Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:
When to book a Havelock rental home & When to go:
- Summer months are high season in the Havelock area. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is a great way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Havelock visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Planning and picking a perfect Havelock vacation home:
- Choose your vacation week and spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Steps to the beach! 3BR\/2.5BA Oceanfront condo complex has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before you book the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
Tips to have a smooth stay:
- Add the owner's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make certain that no damages are attributed to your visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the property manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your life at home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to compel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
