DOGS ACCEPTED with our All-Inclusive Pet Program (Weekly and Nightly Units Only; Monthly Units Not Included); No pet fee for 2 Dogs Max. It is the responsibility of pet owners to ensure that they clean up after their family pets (i.e., picking up waste from property grounds). Should the guest fail to do so, an additional fee of $100 will be charged to the credit card on file.

When to book & When to go:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Emerald Isle. To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Havelock vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.

  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
