Rental home tips and tricks:
When to visit Emerald Isle & When to book:
- Summer months are high season in Emerald Isle. Reserve your rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many property management companies supply Havelock area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Filter your search:
- Select your dates and max budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. \"SweetWater\" ~ 1302 Queens Court ~ 1Bd\/1Ba Top Floor Oceanfront Condo ~ Elevator has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you book the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Additional considerations:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. text the property manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
