Years ago, when I was looking for a home on the island I came across this property. When I walked up the front steps for the first time, I entered into a calming little wonderland. Set up high on a sand dune surrounded by trees, this property is the ideal calming hideaway. Set smack dab in the middle of town, it is walking/cycling distance to nearly everything in Emerald Isle. It is 1 block from the sound and about 7 blocks to the ocean.

How to book the best Havelock rental home experience:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Havelock area. Book your Havelock rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, management companies supply Havelock area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the perfect vacation rental in Emerald Isle:
- Choose your vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Island Treehouse has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible online. If not, email or call the host before you book the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or applied to your invoice.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
Have a great stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few issues.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- Upon arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to stimulate new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
